WOMAN HAULER SAVES THE DAY FOR CHARITIES.
Mrs. J. W. Quinnett, the only woman in Des Moines with a hauler’s license, saved the day yesterday for the Associated Charities.
The University Church of Christ gave about 500 pounds of clothing and many sacks of flour to the society. Secretary Horace Hollingsworth was unable to get a transfer wagon to bring the bundle from the church to offices for distribution.
Mrs. Quinnett, who hauls goods for a wholesale grocery firm to earn money for the care of a sick husband and several children, made the hauls.
