SMITH UNDER INDICTMENT - Storm Lake Editor Who Shot
Attorney Schultz Accused of Assault With Intent to Commit Murder.
STORM LAKE, Ia., Feb. 28(Special.)The grand
jury this afternoon indicted Albert A. Smith for assault with
intent to commit murder. Schultz, the attorney shot by Smith, was
up town for the first time since the shooting. The case may not
be tried at this term. Judge Helsell and Senator Healy have been
retained for the prosecution, and Herrick of Cherokee and Faville
for the defense.

A. A. SMITH MAY LIVE HERE - Storm Lake Editor Who Shot
County Attorney Schultz Reported Negotiating for Job Plant.
It is reported that Albert A. Smith, the Storm Lake
editor who recently caused a furore by shooting County Attorney
Schultz there, is negotiating for the purchase of a Des Moines
job printing establishment with the intention of making his home
here. Schultz will recover from his wounds. Smith disposed of his
interest in the Storm Lake paper shortly after the scrape.
