SMITH IS MAKING PLANS - Storm Lake Editor Who Shot H. F.
Schultz Proposes to Return to His Newspaper Work.
IOWA FALLS, Ia., Feb. 17—(Special.)—Indications
are that A. A. Smith, the editor of Storm Lake who was one of the
principals in the sensational shooting affray in that city, in
which H. F. Schultz, a prominent attorney, was badly wounded,
will re-engage in the newspaper business at Storm Lake as soon as
his little escapade with firearms is satisfactorily adjusted. It
appears that shortly after the shooting Mr. Smith sold his paper,
the Vidette, to Storm Lake parties. It is now announced
by a friend of Smith’s that the latter will return the
shears and paste pot as soon as he can square himself in the
courts and secure his liberty.
