MRS. MARGARET NILLES CALLED.

Well Known Remsen Widow Follows Husband To Grave.

Mrs. Margaret Nilles, 67, widow of the late Peter Nilles, well known Remsen pioneer, died at the home of her son, John, near Remsen at 2 o'clock Thursday morning. Mrs. Nilles had been ailing for some time, and for the past two weeks had been confined to her bed. Mrs. Nilles, nee' Margaret Frank, was born in Chicago, Ill., in 1865. Her parents were natives of Luxembourg, where they received their early education. The young couple remained in Chicago for ten years after their marriage and then they moved to Caledonia, Minn. Margaret Frank came to Plymouth county with her parents in 1876, residing with them on their farm in Marion township. In 1884 Margaret Frank was united in marriage with Peter Nilles, and to this union eight children were born: John, Nick, Dominick, Hubert, Joe, Mary, Peter and Anna. Her son Dominick preceded her in death a year ago this month. Mrs. Nilles was a devote member of the Catholic church and was always active in supporting the various societies of the church and the community. She leaves a great many friends and neighbors in whose hearts she had endeared herself to join with her children in mourning her loss. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's church in Remsen. Rev. Father Schleier, the pastor, will officiate.
