ARE QUIETLY MARRIED
Principles Are Members of Well Known Old Settler Families
Miss Bertha Dempster and Charles R. Tucker, well known young people
of this city and members of old settler families in Plymouth county,
were quietly married at the Methodist church parsonage on Wednesday
afternoon at 2:30, the pastor, Rev. C. H. Seward officiating. The only
witnesses to the ceremony were Misses Laura and Marion Dempster, sisters
of the bride.
Immediately after the ceremony the wedding party left by auto for
Sioux City and from there will go to Nebraska to visit relatives and
friends at Plainview and other points. They will be at home to their
friends after August 4 at 434 Third Avenue S. W.
Mr. Tucker is employed with the Long Grocery company and is a
popular youth and his bride for the past few years has been employed at
the Evans & Jones Jewelry store, where her unfailing courtesy and
charming manners have won her many friends in addition to those with
whom she is extremely popular in church and social circles.
