FAULL—At the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Crow, near Merrill, Iowa, Nov.
19, 1893, of heart trouble, Mrs. Elizabeth Faull aged 74 years, 7 months, 1
day.

The deceased was born in Cornwall, England, April 18, 1819; has lived in
Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and came to Plymouth County, Iowa, in May 1871,
being one of the early settlers. She was the mother of six children, three
of which survive her. She has twelve grandchildren living and one
great-grandchild. She has been a faithful, devoted Christian all her life.
The remains were interred in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Nov. 21, 1893,
Rev. Wm. Semple conducting the funeral services.

BORN.
TO Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Sammis Tuesday, November 21, a boy.

LIVELY RUN AWAY.
The team of Eli Bixby, a farmer, became unmanageable on Main street
yesterday and ran from Seventh street down Main to the railroad track. They
threw Mr. Bixby out at the corner of Main and Sixth, but aside from tearing
his clothing and a few bruises, he was not hurt. They ran into a loaded
wagon at the railroad and were caught. The light wagon they were hitched to
was considerably damaged.

NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS.

MERRILL: (From the Record.)
Will Anderson had a narrow escape from death last week. While at the bottom
of a 78 ft. well a brick happened to get loose near the top and fell in,
striking Will on the shoulder and a bruised shoulder and dislocated finger
were the results.

The Flandreau Standard (S.D.) says: Mr. Frost, of Merrill, Ia., who has been
buying stock here for several weeks past, purchased of Mrs. Hart her farm
north of town. Mr. Frost will stock the farm and put his son on in the
spring.

L. E. Ausman bought the Johnson house and lot this week. Mr. Johnson does
not own a dollars worth of real estate in Plymouth county. Possession is to
be given April 1. Mr. J. will either move to Sioux City or LeMars.

Chas. Montague had quite an exciting time with his team last Saturday. They
became unmanageable just west of town and in going around the corner near
the Keats residence. They ran into a buggy tearing off one of the wheels and
throwing the occupant, Mr. Hammond, of LeMars, to the ground. The wheels of
Mr. Montague’s wagon passed over the man’s limbs.

AKRON: (From the Register)
At LeMars, on Saturday, occurred the wedding of Chas. Suecker and Mrs.
Mathwig. The happy couple will make their future home in Akron where they
are already well known. The Register wishes for them a long and happy life.

Married—On Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the home of the bride’s parents in the
eastern part of the state, Mr. Geo. Wells and Miss Flora Sanford. The happy
couple will make their future home in Akron, where the groom is engaged in
the livery business for many years, and at present holding the responsible
office of City Clerk. The bride is a niece of Mrs. A. U. Wilson.
