KINGSLEY: (Special Correspondence)
Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Cathcart are visiting relatives in Knoxville this state.
Election passed off quietly with but little drinking. The democrats are
happy over their victory on the state ticket. They think it means an advent
of open saloons and free whisky.
Miss Lizzie Metcalf is on the sick list, as is also Mrs. J. L. Conrady.
Rev. (?) D. W. Wood, the celebrated prohibition attorney, lectured on
matters prohibitary at the rink Monday evening.
Lawyer McDuffie and Sheriff Boyle spent election day in our town.
Farmers are very busy in their corn field. The yield and quality are good,
but the price is too low to make corn raising profitable.
Rev. Mr. Patterson, pastor of the U. B. church has left town and taken a
charge in Audubon county.
Dentist Reed has returned and is again ready for business.
Rev. Dav, of Marcus, preached in the M. E. church Sunday evening. He came
here to attend quarterly meeting in the place of the presiding officer.

CISNE—ADLER: In LeMars on Wednesday, Nov. 6, Will W. Cisne, of Sioux City,
and Miss Carrie L. Adler, of LeMars.
Will was once foreman of the Sentinel office and is now employed on the
Sioux City Journal. They will go to Sioux City to live, followed by the good
wishes of many LeMars friends.
GOEBEL-HAERLING: At the residence of the bride’s parents in LeMars, on
Wednesday evening, Nov. 6, John C. Goebel and Miss Anna Haerling.
Mr. Goebel is well known and popular salesman and his wife is the eldest’s
daughter of Gus Haerling.
