Seney, IA., April 25th, '87.


We are getting a spell of Minnesota weather again, making it
disagreeable for stock.

We need warm rain to start the grass.  Our farmers are getting short of
feed and need the pasture.

I. E. Eldrige (sic--Eldredge) has got moved and is nearly settled for
business.

S. A. Ankerman has moved his family upstairs in U. S. (sic--W. S.)
Darvill's house.

Miss V. J. Derby returned to Seney instead of going to Chicago.

The feed mill firm turned out four cars of feed last week.

Mr. G. Mills will ship two cars (of) fat cattle to Chicago this week.
He will accompany the shipment and on his return stop for Mrs. Mills at
Plattville.

Miss Tripplet, of Marshal County, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Kate
Brown.

Mrs. J. M. Jenkins, of Westfield, is visiting her parents here this
week.
