WERE UNITED YESTERDAY
Mr. James P. Collins of Emmetsburg and Miss Mary Trunnel of Algona
Mr. James P. Collins of this city and Miss Mary Trunnell of Galva, Illinois,
were united in marriage at the Assumption church in this city Tuesday
morning at 5 o'clock, Monsignor P.F. Farrelly officiating. The bride was
attended by her friend, Mrs. Larson of Algona. Mr. John Collins, brother of
the groom, was best man. The happy couple left on the early morning train
for Mason City immediately after the ceremony where they will spend a short
time. They will also visit relatives in Minneapolis. From Minneapolis they
will go to Seattle, Washington and before returning home they will visit
relatives in Minneapolis. From Minneapolis they will go to Seattle,
Washington and before returning home they will visit the bride's parents at
Galva, Illinois.
The bride is one of Algona's accomplished, popular young ladies. She is a
trained nurse and ranks high in her chosen work. She was employed in the
hospital at that place for some time but came to Emmetsburg a couple of
months ago to take charge of a patient. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Collins of this city. He is an experienced and efficient telegraph
operator and has held good positions in this city and at other places. He is
one of the highly deserving young men of our county and has hosts of warm
friends. Mr. and Mrs. Collins will live in the J.T. Maguire bungalow on
Grand Avenue. The Democrat wishes them health and happiness.

Mother of Weatherwax Bros. Dies
Mrs. A.T. Weatherwax, mother of Mr. Weatherwax, formerly of this place, died
at Charles City last week. Four of her sons, including our former resident,
are members of the well known Weatherwax Brothers' quartette, which
entertains so many people at chautauquas and lyceum gatherings.
