MRS. W. J. REEVES DEAD
Mrs. W. J. Reeves passed away at the family home Saturday
morning. She had been in failing health since last February. The
funeral was held from the home Monday afternoon, Rev. J. F.
Parsons conducting the
services. Interment was made in the Sibley cemetery. Lillian
Smith was born in Sterling, Ill., September 12, 1859. She was
married to W. J. Reeves July 5, 1882. Soon after they came to
their farm in Goewey township, where they resided until the
winter of 1901, when they removed to Sibley. Six children were
born into the
home-- Clifford H., who died a year ago at Los Angeles; George of
Harris; Arthur of Torrington, Wyoming; Esther C., who died three
years ago; Fred D. of Sibley, and Stanley of Mitchell, S. D.
Aside from the husband and children, she leaves six
grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Mary C. Smith of Sibley; sister, Mrs.
Emma Jackson of Minot, N. D.; and a brother, Geo. L. Smith, of
Oregon. The deceased was a member of the Congregational church
and active in every good work. She was a splendid type of
womanhood, loved and respected by a host of friends and
neighbors. She was a successful school teacher, conducting
sixteen terms in Plymouth and Osceola counties.
