H.B. Peterson won the First Flight in the June Tournament from
J.J. Kale.
The Drum and Bugle Corps for the Sheldon Post of the American
Legion is now assured. Ed Courson of Sioux City has been engaged
to organize and direct the corps.
Dr. Frank Nelson is the owner of a new Hudson Bougham.
Art Jahn, of Alvord, who at one time played third base for the
Sheldon baseball team, is now regularly covering center field for
the Chicago Cubs.
Byron Speece, of Sheldon, who is now on the pitching staff of the
Cleveland team of the American League, pitched the last four
innings of a game last Wednesday with Detroit.

Jason Henry left Monday for Race circuits with two pacers, Miss
Minta and Norma Ansel.
A quiet wedding took place last Saturday, July 11, at the M.E.
parsonage when Miss Bessie V. Miller became the bride of Mr.
Albert Stabenow, both of this city.
