Harry Donovan, professional golfer has been hired by the Sheldon
Golf and Country Club to have charge of the grounds this year.
The following were elected directors: H.C. Hubbard, J.J. Kale,
W.H. Frisbee, J.A. DeWitt, F.A. Clarke, W.C. Eichner, Magrum
Smith, E.A. James and R.A. Mudgett.
J.C. Becker was elected president of the Big Four Oil Co.; P.A.
Purman, vice president; J.W. Myers, secretary.
H.E. Matson, L.O. Lohr and Zane Hudson went to Boyden on Tuesday
night where they played in the Boyden band.
The following basketball players take part in the Morningside
tournament: Pete Westra, Lee Pearce, Donald Jenkinson, Ralph
Thompson, Otto Buysman, Curtis Engberg, Guerdon Archer and Paul
Dyke.

The minister, the young people's choir and the Junior League will
give a Washington and Lincoln program next Sunday evening at the
M.E. church. Recitations by marion Denning, Marshall Wynn, John
Lampson, Walter Hyink, John Peterson, Myrna Fritts, Jimmie Wood,
Helene Lynge, Bonnie Alfstdat, John LaGrone, Mary Lois Arnold.
Jason Henry is training eight horses.
Gordon Whitmore assisted by the young men of the cast of
"Clarence" entertained the entire cast at the Whitmore
home Tuesday evening. The evening was spent in playing games and
with lunch. Robert Engelhardt and Frederick Benson were
additional guests.
