Hon. W.D. Boies arrived home on Thursday from St. Louis where he
has been as chairman of the congressional committee to probe
Judge English's conduct in office.
Paul Moerman, manager of the Sheldon Co-operative Creamery
reports that Tuesday's business at the creamery was the biggest
in the history of the creamery thus far.
Sugar beet test plots are being put in on the farms of Robert
Brewster, John Groot, A.S. Ruby and Theo. De Hoogh. There arrived
in Sheldon, Saturday, a sack of 70 pounds of sugar beet seed
grown in Russia under the "sugar beet seed trust" of
the communist government. The sack was stenciled "vi Moscow
and New Jork" which was nearer the proper way to spell New
York in English than we could spell most any city in Russia.
