One of the most signal honors to ever come to the city of Sheldon
to one of its residents came last week in the election of E.L.
Richards as the president of the National Harness Manufacturers
association in the convention held at Kansas City.
W.A. Laurie, Earl Threlkeld, Geo. Leemkuil and Wesley Hicks went
to Le Mars to play in the band for the Old Settlers reunion.

Clad Stewart and Satolli McGinn left Thursday afternoon from Iowa
City to attend the state university.
George Collins, Taylor Woods and John Bishop left for Sioux City
on Saturday, where they will be gatekeepers at the fair.
Roscoe B. Piper has invented a new self-starting device for an
automobile.
Messrs. Oliver Lias, John Bishop, Eugene Riddell and Bert Messer
autoed over to Hartley Friday to attend the Old Settlers Reunion.
On Tuesday morning, Sept. 21, occurred the marriage of Miss Julia
Agnes Mulhern and Mr. Modest J. Cardin.
