A $200 house greeted the home talent minstrels last Monday night.
Some fine comedy work was done by Messrs. Chambers, Beach,
Mountain and Kennedy, while George Buntley presided as
interlocutor admirably. Dr. Beach, L.C. Burkle, Mr. chambers, mr.
Arter, C.C. Schaap, H.J. Wood, M.D. Neland and Sam Robinson
starred as soloists.
Miss Gladys Myers went to Hartley on Monday to assist in an
operetta placed under the management of Miss Gladys Richard.
Earl Threlkeld has entered the employ of Isenbarger & Barton
and will represent the firm in the sale of automobiles.

The flying machine which was purchased by Edward Evans of Rock
Rapids arrived and the owner is now anxiously awaiting an
opportunity to try it out. He will house it until after the snow
goes off and then take the "critter" out in some
pasture and wrestle with it in private. The maching is an Bleroit
monoplane equipped with a three-cylinder engine.
Henry Bros. company sold 48 brood sows at an average of $72.50.
The top price was $191.
The Sheldon Commercial Club will take the census of the city of
Sheldon next Friday. The following captains have been chosen:
F.L. Barrager, George Holmes, W.P. Iverson, John CAmpbell, George
Hudson, Charles Myers, George Bloxham, A.H. Cobb, Will Frisbee,
Otto Bartz, R.L. Manning.
Sheldon defeated Rock Valley last Friday with Anderson, Nelson,
L. Rider, J. Rider and Hicks playing for Sheldon.
