Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Beacom, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Perry and Dr. and
Mrs. A.W. Beach were "at home" last Friday evening to a
large host of friends. About four hundred invitations were issued
and to these nearly everyone responded.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Messer for
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. T. Wolk, who arrived in Sheldon from their
wedding trip Wednesday morning. The bride and groom were most
heartily congratulated by their numerous friends, who presented
them with two parlor chairs and a parlor table. A.J. Walsmith
made the presentation remarks and the groom responded in a most
affable manner.
Gollman Bros. circus showed here last Friday and drew a good
crowd.
