The High School football team is rapidly rounding into form under
the direction of Mr. A.R. Nichols. The following is a partial
list of boys who are trying out for the team: Henry Hospers,
Chas. Beacom, Fred Ten Eyke, Linc. Rankin, Jud Myers, Sandy
Green, Howard Havens, Ray Halstead, Warren Ayres, Sweeney, Bill
Dean, Clifford Lane, Joe Kelly and Emmett Kearney.
The following republican delegates to the representative
convention at Primghar were chosen: 1st Ward: G.A. Starrett, L.W.
Fairbanks, Henry Shipley, Tim Donohue, J.C. Stewart, W.M.
Barrager, Ed Davis; 2nd Ward: G.T. Wellman, R.B. Piper, Joe
Morton, E.P. Messer, John McCandless, A.J. Walsmith and Jas.
Cowie; 3rd Ward: J.O. Lias, B. Donovan and Scott Martin.
