Mr. and Mrs. Scott Logan, O.E. Logan and Burr Gaskill went to the lakes Saturday afternoon in their Elmore touring car. They made the return trip in two hours and fifty minutes, a distance of some fifty miles, which is indeed excellent.

The Maxwell touring runabout owned by F.L. Eldred, a traveling salesman, has been laid up for repairs in the ship of W.H. Beacom. The machine is devoid of a chain and sprocket drive and is propelled by a shaft of direct drive to the rear hub and in some manner the gear was stripped completely of cogs by coming in contact with something in the road.

Monday evening Sherwood Sleeper was at home to 155 friends at a lawn party at the home of his parents, on Seventh street. Two long strings of gasoline lamps hung among the trees which afforded excellent light for the occasion. The guests were received by Sherwood and his parents and escorted to lawn seats where courtesies and merrymaking were exchanged. The illuminations made the premises almost as light as day, which with the dainty summer evening gowns of the ladies presented a charming and pleasing appearance long to be remembered by those present. The Sheldon band was present and discoursed excellent music.

Frank Kehrberg last week purchased an eighteen horse power Queen touring car. The car is a beauty and is generally admired by Sheldon people. It is finished in a dark green with yellow running gear and is one of the easiest running machines in the city.
