The Elite Cafe, formerly conducted by R.H. Knowles, has been
purchased by Henry Von Deest, who will soon re-open it.
Among the Sheldon people who attended the grand opera
"Tannhauser" at Sioux City Monday were: Mr. and Mrs. E.
L. Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Harris, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Wykoff,
E.L. Barragar, W.H. Bangs, E.S. Zager, H.H. Richards, J.J.
Haydon, Dee Harris, R.B. Piper, Mabel Rankin and Miss Louise
Blackman.
Madam Monihan, palmist, physiognomist and clairvoyant, who has
been stopping at the Arlington for the past ten days, expects to
remain in the city until the first of the week. She has received
excellent patronage from a large number of prominent Sheldon
people.
H.B. Perry has applied for a patent on a photo shutter in the
United States and Canada.
