One of the most enjoyable musical events was the pupils piano recital given by the junior members of Prof. Decevee's class at the Congregational church. The performance of Dora Aborn was magnificent, while the musical touch of Alice Butterfield and her rippling runs was remarked by all. Lela Stringfield played the fifth nocturne in a truly artistic manner. The playing of Myrtle Fairbanks, Mabel Hagy, Georgie Cram, George Aborn, Ona Bassett, Dee Harris, Georgia Bowley and Litta Ladd was much above the average.
George Hudson sold a game rooster and two game pullets to Sioux City parties last Saturday for $35.00.
John Helmer, the cigar maker, is now located with his business in the basement of the Union bank.
