W.H. Moore succeeds Josh Billings in the restaurant business.
Billings will sell gates for barb wire fences.
The Savings bank people have made a start toward the erection of
a brick bank building. Cashier Stringfield has moved temporarily
into Mr. Lane's clothing store.
J.F. Stone and H.C. Lane talk of uniting in the erection of a
double brick store building on Ninth street.
Sheldon sent $125 to the flood sufferers of Cherokee and $50 to
Sutherland for the benefit of those needy who met with losses in
the recent cyclone there.
Mrs. Wm. Artz and daughters Nellie H. and Zoe L., arrived in the
city a few evenings since from Omaha. Miss Nellie is a violinist
of no small degree of skill, while her sister Zoe is quite an
adept in performing on the banjo.
