Pomp McCormack will give the people of Adrian "Uncle Tom's
Cabin" on the Fourth of July.
The band boys and the newly organized Occidental Male Quartet
gave L.L. Bassett and his bride a handsome serenade on the
evening of their arrival in Sheldon. All hands were "invited
in" by Mr. and Mrs. B. and treated to appropriate
refreshments. The quartet referred to is composed of Messrs.
Bassett, Birdsell, Zander and Yesberger, but on this occasion Mr.
Egert sang in the bridegroom's place.
