A. McDouglas bought ten thousand bushels of potatoes at one lick
last week. The potatoes were all raised on the Howie farm
situated northwest of town.
It is reported as we go to press that Willie Thomas and Willie
Kerman, otherwise known as the Twin Topers have purchased and
will immediately take charge of the Lyon County Reporter
at Rock Rapids. Rock Rapids is now the best place for a
distillery that we know of in Iowa.
