The SC and St. P. company have had a whole train snowed under
south of town for about two weeks. The engine, however, has been
kept alive in the meantime, having been supplied with the
necessary fuel through the pluck of drayman Hill and the faithful
attention of Messrs. Joy and Nugent.
Gen. J. W. Bishop, general manager of the Chicago, St. Paul,
Minnesota & Omaha RR, who now lives in St. Paul, requested
his family to choose a place for a new home, and that in
accordance with their wishes the General has decided to build a
fine residence on his farm situated just north of the city park,
in the suburbs of Sheldon.
