OLD PIONEER IS CALLED BY DEATH.
Christine Thorgerson was born in Denmark near Hyrring on August 16, 1945 and passed away on February 8th, 1924. She came to America 24 years ago and since that time has resided near Castana. She was married to Soren Fano. She is survived by a son and daughter, Chris Larson and Mrs. Carl Christiansen of Sloan, besides 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of friends. Funeral was held on Monday and burial was made in the Kennebec cemetery.

CASTANA:
Mrs. Soren Fano passed away at home near Castana, Friday, Feb. 8, at the age of 78 years, she is survived by her husband and two children, Chris Larson, and Mrs. Patricia Christensen, also some grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday. Rev. Thaanum, of Minder, Nebr. Preached the sermon. The deceased was laid to rest in Kennebec cemetery.
