At one o’clock, a three course dinner was served to the forty guests, who partook of the feast with great relish. One very long table was placed under the maples, and laid with linen decked with yellow doilies, as the color scheme for the occasion with yellow and white. The plates were first served from a small tent, which served as an outdoor kitchen. The hostess was assisted by Misses Ilah and Geneva Warren, Elsie Tipton, and Fern Jackson–two of whom wore yellow caps and aprons. The guests were as follows–Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Jackson and family, Stanton Warren and family, Mr. and Mrs. M.T. Deupree, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Deupree, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marshall, all of Glenwood; Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Jackson of Silver City, Mr. Russell M. Jackson and Miss Cora Barclay of Omaha, Messrs. Clyde and Ivan Jackson of Malvern, and Mr. and Mrs. John Tipton of Tabor. Mr. and Mrs. Hallam have been added to the list of splendid entertainers.
