DEATH OF Mrs. W.R. Hill

Word was received in Glenwood Friday of the death of Mrs. W.R. Hill, mother of Editor W.F. Hill of the Tribune. For several months, Mr. and Mrs. Hill have been at their old home in Wanawoc, Wis., with a daughter, Mrs. Bruner, and only last Monday, Mrs. Hill went into a hospital, where she was operated upon on Tuesday for appendicitis. She had seemed to rally and hold her own very well until Friday, when the end came. The funeral services were held in Wanawoc on Sunday, and interment was made in the cemetery there. Mr. W.R. Hill went to Wisconsin Monday evening last week, and is expected home some time this week.

MR. & MRS. COBB LEAVE

Mr. Earl Cobb, who has been in Glenwood for two years as manager of the Johnson Jewelry Store, has decided to move to Omaha. He has 2 flattering offers up there, and will see which one he likes best before definitely deciding which one he will accept. One is the Broadegard Jewelry Co., and the other is with the Loftis Store. Mrs. Cobb went up the middle of last week to get a residence rented, and Mr. Cobb went up with their household goods Saturday. In the two years they have resided in this city, Mr. and Mrs. Cobb have made many friends who regret to see them leave, but realize that they are not to be so very far away, and will without a doubt, make the old town a visit occasionally. The Opinion predicts that Mr. Cobb will make a success of his new work.
