Little Miss Florence Evernham entertained a number of her girl friends at a masquerade dance Saturday evening in the Commercial House parlors. No boys were present but from what we have heard their presence was not missed by the girls who had a most jolly time. Those present were: Ettie Cheney, Frankie Towslee, Gertie Scott, Mergie Shriver, Mattie Cheney, Jennie Gigray, Jennie Record, Florence Evernham, Minnie Kelley, Blanche Burkett, and Pearl Jones.
Mr. L. A. Stillwagon, formerly in business at Pacific Junction, has rented the new Hinchman store building on the west side and will put in a large stock of goods of every description, such as is usually kept in what is known as a “racket” store. Mr. Still wagon conducted the same kind of an establishment at the Junction, where he was eminently successful. Having outgrown the business of that town he comes here fully competent to take charge of the good business that surely awaits him and to satisfy it in every respect. The people of Glenwood will find Mr. Stillwagon a business man in every respect, and a genial and accommodating gentleman within. The Journal says welcome to the best town in southwestern Iowa.
