L.M. Johnson
Levi M. Johnson was born at Red Rock Iowa April 5, 1863 and died at his home in Pleasantville Monday December 18, aged 59 years, 8 months, and 13 days. Deceased was married to Miss Sarah Hougham April 20, 1884 and to this union 8 children were born, one daughter having preceded her father in death. The children living are Mrs. W.F. Zion of Cut Bank Montana, Elmore of Revere MN, Walter of Minneapolis MN, Howard, Robert, Herman and Glenn of Pleasantville. Besides his children he leaves three sisters and four brothers. Mr. Johnson spent his entire life in the vicinity of Pleasantville, was a man of highest character and had the respect and friendship of all who knew him. He had been a farmer and stock raiser all his matured life up to about thirteen years ago when his health failed and he moved with his family to Pleasantville where he remained until called to the home beyond. He clerked for several years at Dyer and Dyer hardware store and later worked at the Lumme grocery and assisted his sons in their present grocery business. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church, being united with that denomination 45 years ago. He was a good man, loyal and true.
