Seventh Annual Randell Reunion
The 7th annual Randell reunion was held Sunday, Aug. 14, 1938, at
the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Randel, two
miles southwest of Cedar. At the noon hour O. W. Griffiths of
Bowen, Ill. offered a short prayer, after which a delicious
dinner was served cafeteria style. The president, F. G. Randell,
had charge of the meeting which included a business session
followed by a program C. H. Randell of Bowen, Ill. was elected
president and Mrs. Jewel Randell of Bowen, Ill., sec-treas. with
O. C. McBurney of Cedar, Ia. Assistant sec-treas. for the coming
year. Meeting adjourned to meet in 1939 in Ill.

Earl, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Randell and daughter Molly, Mr. and Mrs.

McClain Reunion Held Sunday
The seventh annual reunion of the McClain family was held Sunday
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Akerman west of town. The day
was spent visiting and a picnic dinner was enjoyed at the noon
hour. Those present were Mrs. Nova Wilson and daughter Margarte
of Birmingham, Mrs. Orna McCord of Barnes City, Mr. and Mrs. P.D.
Schreiner and Mrs. S.W. Wakefie;d, both of Moravia, Mr. and Mrs.
Howard F. Evans of Fremont, Neb., Forrest Gearhart and daughters,
Fred and Sondra D. of Centerville, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Akerman of
Oskaloosa, Mrs. Pearl Akerman, Mrs. Ollie Akerman and Earl
Akerman of Ottumwa, Mr. and Mrs.J. S. McClain, Mr. and Mrs. A. W.
McClain, Mrs. Nellie McDowell and daughter Bertha, and son
Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Stout and daughter, Mary Ellen, Mrs.
Vera McDowell and daughter Martha Louise. Mrs. May Inman and son
Raymond of Ottumwa were visitors.
