MRS. OXBERGER EXONERATED
Sioux City Woman Feed of Murder Charge by Mixed Jury

SIOUX CITY, Jan. 28.— Mrs. Martha Oxberger, charged with the
murder of Mrs. Ella Nichols, was acquitted of the charge by a
jury in the district court last night. The jury was made up of
four woman and eight men. The killing of Mrs. Nichols occurred
last November when she went to the Oxberger home in search of her
husband, whom she found there. Mrs. Oxberger never denied firing
the fatal shot, but claimed it was done in self defense.
