NELSON, Margaret Ann, age 80 years, 3 months and
17 days, died at her home, 1317 West A Avenue, Wednesday,
December 24, 1913, at 12:05 p.m. Funeral Friday, December 26, at
2:00 p.m. at the M.E. Church of this city. Interment in Forest
Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson was born September 7, 1833, in the State of
Pennsylvania. She had lived for 44 years in Mahaska County, Iowa.
Her father was Armstrong Grim, and her mother's maiden name was
Marian Scott; both were born in the State of Pennsylvania. Death
was the result of nerve anemia and gallstones of one year's
duration. She leaves a husband, Samuel Nelson of this city; one
son, W. R. Nelson of Havre, Montana; four daughters, Mrs. Jennie
Shoemaker of this city; Mrs. Caroline Hathaway of Fort Smith,
Arkansas; Mrs. Mary Whitmore of Madison Township, and Mrs. Emma
Chute of chicago, IL; six brothers and sisters, eleven
grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
