HAMPTON - Died, at his home in Spring Creek township, Sunday, May
5, 1907, at 8:20 a.m. of old age, John HAMPTON, aged 95
years.Deceased was born in Kentucky and had resided in Mahaska
county forty years. Funeral services Tuesday May 7, at 2:30 p.m.
at residence on Beacon road, and interment in Old cemetery.
Deceased is survived by two sons, A. D. HAMPTON of this city and
Wm. HAMPTON of Colorado, and two daughters, Mrs. Wm. ELLIOTT and
Mrs. James BRIGGS [submitters note: should be Griggs] of
Indianapolis, Iowa.
