The grand jury of Madison county district court this week received the case of the murder charge against Ed COOK, resulting from the death of Charles DRISCOLL.
George CURTIS of Lincoln township was crushed to death by an angry bull on Thursday last.
Miss Mayme MCHUGH was married to Valentine BUSSANMAS.
Mary BOWLSBY, wife of Benjamin F. BOWLSBY, died on February 1st and burial took place at the Winterset Cemetery.
The marriage of Miss Ida GRAY to W. C. FOSTER has been solomized.

Miss Elsie YOUNG, who is to be married to Harry VANCE next month, was the guest of honor at a pre-nuptial shower given by Miss Aletha BROWN.
Mrs. Julia (BURROWS) BRITTAIN, passed away on February 15th and was buried at the North McDonald Cemetery in Jefferson township.
The death of Maude Nivan, 27 year old resident of Douglas township, occurred on February 15th, with burial being made at Atlantic, Cass county.
The Commercial club is sponsoring a move to obtain free delivery of mail for Winterset.
Eighty nine year old Christian Croft passed away yesterday, February 17th in Winterset. Burial will take place at the Winterset Cemetery.
The department store firm of Tidrick and Terrell have announced plans to separate into two different stores.
The passing of eleven year old Lillian Evelyn WESSLUND occurred on February 15th. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (CARLTON) WESSLUND. Burial took place at Boonville.
Miss Beulah May LIGHT, daughter of George W. and Lenna (HOOTS), was married on February 7th, at Winterset, to Herman COX, son of George and Rebecca (MILLS).
