The Winterset public schools opened this week. Enrollment reported to be 170 students enrolled at the high school and 438 in the grade school.
Marriage Licenses issued this past week were as follows:
Patrick MORRISSEY and Anna BRUNS; Charles C. STACK and Jennie KINSMAN; Thomas G. BURT and Harriet PINDELL and Ray N. ROBINSON and Minnie E. SAGE.
Doug ROY sold his farm in Lincoln township to a Mr. GRAVES. It was one of the best quarter sections in the
county.
The Rock Island depot is being moved from its old location near the east end of town to a new site, two blocks north of the square. A group of Winterset business men had petitioned the railroad that a new, more modern depot be built, instead of moving the old one.
The following divorce actions were filed in District Court:
M. L. DOUGLAS versus Lena DOUGLAS; H. D. ORR
versus Blanche ORR; Zilpha ELDRIDGE versus D. M. ELDRIDGE and Mary MCCONNELEE versus Arch MCCONNELEE.
