On Monday evening, an altercation between Bird MILES and John F. MCDONALD took place in the DOAK livery barn. Each of the belligerents plead guilty to disbursing the peace and were fined $1.00 and costs. As an outcome of this quarrel, MCDONALD and D. (Daniel) T. Miles had a fight on the north side on Tuesday night and were separated by the bystanders. MILES paid his fine and MCDONALD'S trial is in progress before Mayor WILSON as we go to press.

Rev. W. J. HAUN, former pastor of the Oak Grove Evangelical Church some ten years ago, died at his home in Pensacola, Florida on the 7th, inst.

Marriage Licenses issued: S. J. SCHRADER and Elizabeth MUMFORD; Austin DAY and Mary E. ATCHESON; Harry ROBERTS and Jessie COLTON; Ralph DEVAULT and Gladys WRIGHT; John F. LEGGETT and Irene SCOTT.

Earlham: Dr. & Mrs. E. S. DAY are the proud parents of a fine baby girl, born Tuesday, January 16th. Also, born on January 9th, to Mr. & Mrs. Fred STRIBLING, a fine baby girl.

A little daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John LOCK, aged one year, died Wednesday morning of this week.

Married at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen POPE, of Webster Township, on January 24th, H. J. SCHRADER and Miss Elizabeth MUMFORD.

A house for the convenience of those interested, was erected at the Hartman Cemetery last Saturday, by workmen T. A. FULTON; Levi SLINKER, Earl HOLMES, J. B. HARTMAN, J. W. FULTON, Wes FULTON and R. T. CASKEY.

Dr. CLEARWATER and wife are the parents of a daughter, born on Monday, January 22nd.

Truro: Married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles SCOTT, on Tuesday, January 16th, at high noon, Miss Irene SCOTT and Mr. John LEGGETT.

Jackson Township: Married on Wednesday of last week, Mr. Ralph DEVAULT and Miss (Gladys) WRIGHT. The new couple are at present are staying at the home of J. J. DEVAULT, father of the groom.
