Absolom Jackson KENT was born in Harrison County, Ohio, March 11, 1819; and diedat his home in Madison County on February 7, 1892, aged 72 years, 10 months and 26days.
He was married to Rebecca HICKMAN-ARNOLD, March 29, 1842, to which union were born8 sons and 2 daughters. His aged companion, 5 sons and 1 daughter survive him.
In 1846, in Harrison County, Ohio, he united with the M. E. Church and in 1864, heunited with the United Brethren Church in Polk County, Iowa and remained a memberfor 26 years.
His funeral was conducted by W. F. CRONK at the U. B. Church on Tuesday afternoon,February 9th. (burial at the McDonald Cemetery)
