Federal agents from Sioux Falls, Sioux City and Minneapolis made
a raid at Granite a week before Christmas. There they found four
stills working in a small barn on the James DeZotell property. J.
F. Cronoble, DeZotells father-in- law acknowledged that he
was the operator. The agents found 150 gallons of raisin mash,
and a quantity of the finished product. There were 600 gallon
glass containers, 200 stone jugs, a gross of pint bottles - all
were seized. The revenuer said it was one of the largest liquor
