The marriage of Miss Lorena Adeline Partch, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Edgar H. Partch, to Charles Homer Leichleter, editor of the
Larchwood Leader, occurred at the home of the brides brother,
Edgar L. Partch, at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening. The ceremony was
performed by Rev. A.M. Leichleter of Gowrie, Iowa, father of the
groom, assisted by Rev. A.J. Williams of Rock Rapids. The
beautiful ring ceremony being used. At the appointed time the
bride, attired in a gown of cream colored point tulle de sole,
made over white silk, carrying a bunch of roses and leaning upon
the arm of her father, was led to the alter where the groom was
awaiting their coming. After the ceremony had been performed and
the sixty or more guests had extended their congratulations to
the happy couple, the company sat down to a sumptuous wedding
supper. Hidden in the bride's bouquet was a ring, the bouquet
being separated and divided among the maiden friends and guests
of the bride. Legend has it that the maiden drawing this ring
will be the next married. Miss Julia Olson secured the rose
bearing the ring and was thereby named as the next bride of the
company. The couple were the recipients of many handsome and
useful presents. They will remain at the home of Edgar L. Partch
until Sunday, when they will go to their future home at
Larchwood. The out of town guests present at the ceremony were:
Rev. and Mrs. A.M. Leichleter of Gowrie, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. W.H.
Bradley, Misses Cora and Mina McGilvera, Mrs. Winfred Brown,
Herbert Peacock and Fred Stokes of Larchwood
