MARRIAGES:
JOHNSTON - WAYNICK. -- At the residence of the bride's father,
DR. D.W. WAYNICK, of Chariton, Iowa, Thursday, Dec. 28th, 1876,

Reed, MR. ABNER JOHNSTON and MISS LOUISA G. WAYNICK.
Tis said that "matches are made in Heaven," but this
one was made in Oskaloosa, where GERTA was keeping books, and she
kept them so well that the gentleman concluded to place his
happiness in her keeping. And he has chosen well, as GERTA
possesses the high attributes of the true woman, and will make
his home a "well-spring of joy." MR. JOHNSTON is one of
the prosperous young business men of "proud Mahaska."
We hope the attachment may be as enduring as time, with nothing
to ruffle feelings or tucker them
out, but that everything may be nice and easy running along the
road of life
