Quit Turkey Day Game
by Bill Evans
After 1926 Parsons and Iowa Wesleyan will discontinue their practice of winding up their football schedules with their annual clash. That is the decision handed down by the Parsons faculty which thinks the day should be one of thanksgiving and prayer, and not one for hilarity and sports. Such was the keynote of the address in chapel there last week by President McDonald, who stated that the contract had been signed and that the game would be played. Two former Iowa athletes are athletic directors at the two schools, Mead at Iowa Wesleyan and Glen Devine at Parsons. Both played on the championship teams.
