A.D. Parsons and Miss Blanch Buckland Steal March on
Friends
It has not been generally known that A.D. Parsons was carrying
about a valuable and most interesting secret, but such was the
fact. The news leaked out last Sunday after a quiet wedding
service had been performed uniting Mr. Parsons in marriage to
Miss Blanch P. Buckland, an employee of the Courier
office. The Advance reporter is told that the couple originally
intended to go to some nearby county seat to have the wedding
performed; but on confiding their intentions to Mrs. W.A.
Ladendorff, with whom Miss Buckland was boarding, that lady
generously offered the use of her own home for the ceremony and
the offer was accepted. The marriage was performed by Rev. Holmes
at one o'clock Sunday afternoon. The young people are at present
staying at the G.M. Parsons home. Mr. Parsons and Miss Buckland
met the first time some months ago while Miss Buckland was in the
employ of the Courier. Her home is at Araphoe, Oklahoma. She will
continue her work at the Courier office, at least for
the present. The Advance joins many other friends of
both parties in extending hearty congratulations.

that her life might be prolonged.
Mrs. Mericle was the mother of five children, four sons and one
daughter. Two of the sons who are in the far west were unable to
attend the funeral. The funeral was held Monday from the Catholic
church in Whittemore, Father Dullard conducting the services.
