Mrs. J. H. Holcomb Died Wednesday Following An Operation—Funeral Last Sunday in Swea Township.

Swea City, June 11—Special Cor.:

Friends were shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. J. H. Holcomb Wednesday evening.  Mrs. Holcomb under went a serious operation about a week ago and for a time it was thought she would recover, but Tuesday she took a turn for the worse and about 10 o’clock Wednesday evening she passed quietly out of this life to be with her Father in Heaven.

Mrs. Holcomb’s life has been everything that a God-fearing, loving mother’s life could possibly be and no woman was held in higher esteem in this community.

She leaves to mourn her death besides her husband, six sons and one daughter and a host of loving friends.

Funeral services were held in the Swedish Lutheran Church Sunday.  They were conducted by Rev. Swanbeck.  The remains were buried in the Swea township cemetery.

The many friends of J. H. Holcomb and family of Swea City sympathize with them in their grief at the death of Mrs. Holcomb, which occurred last week.  Mrs. Holcomb had some days previous undergone a surgical operation and it was thought that she was recovering all right, when she took a turn for the worse and soon died.  She leaves besides a bereaved husband, six sons and one daughter.
