[United Press Leased Wire Service.]
SIOUX CITY, Ia.  Nov. 22
—Mrs. Martha Oxberger, 40, was under arrest here today, charged with shooting and killing Mrs. Ella Nicolls, 46, a neighbor, at Mrs. Oxberger’s home here last night.

Mrs. Oxberger is the divorced wife of Henry Nicolls, husband of the woman who was shot.  Both women have been divorced twice and were living with their third husbands.

According to police reports, Mrs. Nicolls, accompanied by a daughter, went to the Oxberger home last night in search of her husband.  She is said to have found him hiding in a bedroom.

A quarrel ensued and Mrs. Nicolls is said to have slapped Mrs. Oxberger.  Mrs. Oxberger then secured a revolver from a dresser drawer and is alleged to have fired one shot at Mrs. Nicolls.  Mrs. Nicolls died a short time later.  Nicolls is being held as a witness to the crime.
