Two paroled men will begin the new year with us by reason of
their failure to make good during their probationary freedom.
One, 4643, was broght back from Indiana, after being at liberty
since Nov. 12, 1901. The other, 4437, was returned from Des
Moines, being out since April 18, 1903.
By virtue of the Iowa Christian Endeavor societies, acting
through their efficient superintendent of prision work, Miss Lola
V. Murphy, the Detained will begin the new year each with a
clean, pretty, calendar.

5146, Sarah Shinoe, Dubuque county, one year and six months
5147, Fred Hatfield, Linn county, two years
4643, J.P. Shaw, returned for violation of parole
4437, Emery Salyards, returned for violation of parole
