Accident -- Geo. Brainard, son of D.E. Brainard,
Esq., of this city, met with an accident yesterday morning as
follows: He with other boys got onto a sled to ride; the sled was
hitched behind a wagon, and as he was getting off the sled he
fell, the sled passing over his head, cutting it in a fearful
manner. The gash is about four inches long, laying bare the
skull. Dr. Perry was immediately called, and dressed the wound.
The boy will probably recover. Boys should be careful when
engaged in such sport, and not fall.

Mr. F.W. Warner can be found at the mammouth photographic car of
Prof. Dillon & Norton. Mr. Warner has been very successful in
the photographic art. Possibly some of our old settlers will be
gratified to learn that they have among them a grand-son of Rev.
Father Scoles, who so acceptably filled the pulpit years ago in
this place. Hope Mr. Warner may continue successful in his
profession.
