NEW STAFF ANNOUNCED.
Field Detachment Formed
For the 54th Iowa National Guard - To be Encamped Here.
Major C.S. Grant has just announced the members of the field
hospital detachment which has been assigned for camp with the
54th Iowa National guard in this city next month. As noted
elsewhere Dr. H.L. Husted has been appointed to the rank of first
lieutenant. The non-commissioned staff is as follows:
First class sergeant, M.F. Joynt, Emmetsburg
Sergeant, C.F. Brookes, Pearson.
Sergeant, J.S. Smith, Iowa City
The privates in the detachment are Merle Call, Paul McManus, and
Chas. M. Hazard of Iowa City, Fred Moore of Harlan and Richard C.
Sherman of Fort Dodge.
