OBIT
     Thomas Henry Doogan was born in Ireland in Monahan County near Corrick McCross, September 27, 1854. He was a son of James and Bridget Doogan of Ireland. In May, 1880 he emigrated to this country and settled in Fairfield where he worked for one year for the C.B.& Q. Railroad. The remainder of his life was spent in and near Lockridge where he engaged in coal mining and farming.
     He was taken ill august 27 and taken to the hospital at Keokuk, where he underwent an operation and died August 31, 1933, aged 78 years, 11 months and 14 days.
     On March 14, 1885 he was united in marriage to Alice Nicholson. To this union was born five children, Charles who died March 19, 1910; Lucinda who died in March 1894. The living are Mrs. Ann Davis of Keokuk, Mrs. R.H. Ingersoll of California and John of Ottawa, Ill. His wife preceded him in  death May, 1928.
    He was reared in the faith of the Roman Catholic church but for many years worshipped with the Methodist and Baptist churches. He leaves four sisters, two in New Mexico, one in California and one in Ireland. Also six grandchildren and many friends and relatives to mourn his departure.
