ROUND PRAIRIE

- Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Coe and father, Gus Peterson, spent Sunday afternoon at the F.C. McElwee home.
- Mrs. George Smith and daughter Edith spent Monday afternoon at the home of the former's sister, Mrs. Paul Helterbran.
- Mrs. Elsie Crane was under the doctor's care last Saturday but is reported better at this writing.
- Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Barton spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Barton's brother, Ora Lees near Yarmouth.
- Gus Peterson went to the Henry County Home Tuesday to help make sorghum this week.
- George Smith purchased a new sedan car.
- Mr. and Mrs. Paul Helterbran and daughter attended a birthday surprise on Paul's mother near Hillsboro Sunday.
- Miss Amy Barton is the nurse at the Christinger home near Winfield the past week.
- The Smith family held their annual reunion at the George Smith home Sunday and there sere seventy-four to enjoy the day. At the noon hour a bountiful dinner was served cafeteria style and a car load of relatives from Marion County met with them. The Smith family was the first to have these family gatherings in this community which all enjoy meeting and spending together.

PLEASANT HILL
- Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peterson and son Parrell motored to Olds Sunday and spent the day with relatives.
- Archie and Edd Deao spent a few days with relatives at Winterset and Osceola.
- Mrs. Bert Messer and daughter Hazel of Rome returned to their home Thursday evening from a several days visit at the Sam Arnold home.
- Miss Myrtle Erickson returned to her home from a few days visit with relatives in Ottumwa.
- Mr. and Mrs. C.O. McLain entertained a company of relatives and old neighbors from Tipton at their home on Sunday.

NEW SWEDEN
- Miss Mildred Clark of Batavia spent several days last week with her cousin, Miss Mary Clark.
- Bernard Jacobs, Lewis Edmund, Mahlon Aronson, Kenneth Nelson, Jeanette Quick and Elizabeth and Bernice Edmund of this community are attending the Lockridge High School.
- Miss Florence Quick who is employed in Fairfield spent Sunday at her home here.
- A.B. Diers hulled clover for John Clark last Wednesday.
- Mrs. Mary Ain of Fairfield spent a few days with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jacobson.
