OUR NEW CITIZENS

    Twenty three babies were born in Lockridge and Round Prairie townships last year, as reported to Mrs. W.E. Prouty, registrar for this district. This number, nor the last given below, does not contain the names of the babies born in hospitals or outside of the townships named, as they are reported to the district in which the birth occurs:
    Darrell Eugene Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peterson.
    Mary Lou Griffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Griffin.
    Marshal Harry Cochran, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cochran.
    Anna Marie Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Young.
    Kathryn Loraine Brokken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Brokken.
    Robert Leroy Daub, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Daub.
    Dwaine Parris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Parris.
    Twila May Burky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Burkey.
    Francis Marie Six, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Six.
    Harold Dean Parsons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Parsons.

    Robert Harold Berg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Berg.
    Harold Richard Messer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Messer.
    Infant Trabert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trabert.
    These babies were born in this district and reported to Mrs. Prouty local registrar. Others were born at the Hospital in Fairfield.

CORRESPONDENCE

ROUND PRAIRIE

- Mr. Emery Crane and Mr. Jay Wilson have purchased new cars.
- Mrs. Hattie Hollingsworth had the bad fortune to get her arm caught in the washing machine and blood poison set in and she has a real sore arm.
- Fred McElwee, Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Crane and Ralph Crane were helping butcher at the Chester Elliott home Monday.
- Everett and Thomas McElwee entertained the Anti Class, and teacher Mrs. Edna Church and husband at their home Friday evening. There were eighteen present. The house was called to order by the president, Carroll Crane, and during the business meeting they decided to have fresh oyster stew at the Macil Litton home Friday evening. After the business meeting they had contests and games and amusement and all had a good time. Later refreshments were served consisting of nut cake, strawberries with whipped cream, and chocolate pie.
- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crane, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Crane spent Wednesday at the John Shelman home in Hillsboro to help celebrate their mother's birthday.
- Mrs. Harold Cline spent a few days last week in Fairfield with her mother who has leakage of the heart, but it is reported a little better at this writing.

NEW SWEDEN

- Ralph Smithburg sawed wood for Arlo Smith and John Clarke last Saturday.
- Richard Walgren returned to his home here Saturday evening from a week's visit with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trabert in Lockridge.
- Last Wednesday and Thursday afternoon a number of neighbors of Fred Trabert gathered in his cornfield and finished husking out his corn, because of the recent illness of Mrs. Trabert. The kindness was very much appreciated by Mr. Trabert, for which he wishes to thank his friends. Those who did the work were: August Luedtke, Martin Luedtke, E. T. Leudtke, August Schroll, C.L. Schieber, Fred Odean, A.D. Edumnd, Rudolph Edmund, Edward Craff, Arthur Craff, Henry Graf, Harold A. Nelson, William L. Achenbach and Bernard Jacobs.
